It was revealed on January 16th 2025, that the Switch 2 is finally here. After waiting 8 years since its original model was released, we'll finally get an updated console, possibly as early as April 2025. The news was broken on Nintendo's official Instagram and other social media pages with a reveal trailer, this trailer showed the design elements and features we can expect to see. In addition to this, it was confirmed that a new Mario Kart game will be released alongside Switch 2.
April 2025 will be a busy month for Nintendo, with the Nintendo Direct event being held on April 2nd which will further detail the specs of the Switch 2 and then a small Nintendo Tour taking place worldwide where fans can get a hold of the Switch 2 console to test it out before purchasing.
