Will there be a new Nintendo Switch in 2025?
To begin our list, let's retrace our steps and go back to that infamous console originally mentioned in our previous Anticipated Tech 2024 blog that still has seen no shift in developments—the Switch 2. We were 90% sure that the Switch 2 would be announced and released within the 2024 window period, however as the year progressed, we never got any confirmation of a release, only rumours. It has now been confirmed by Nintendo that we will see the second Nintendo Switch called the Switch 2 in our stores by the first half of 2025.
Is Apple going to make a Vision Pro 2?
Our 2024 Anticipated Tech blog also saw us mention the Apple Vision Pro, which was met with 50/50 success by its users. Customers complained that the price was way too high for the quality of the tech, therefore it was announced that a second edition, a budget version, of the Vision Pro entitled the Apple Vision Pro 2 was in production. The headset is believed to be released between late 2025 and early 2026. Either way, we will get additional information or at least an announcement day at some point in 2025.
Does Ray-Ban make smart glasses?
Smart glasses and smart sunglasses have been heavily talked about on social media. With the success of the Smart Ring and Smart Watches, it was about time developers moved onto another form of tech. It was revealed this year that Ray-Ban and Meta would release yet another smart glasses product which we will see at some point in 2025. We have no further information on this technology yet, only that its prototype has been completed.
Apple AI Home Display
Apple mentioned that they will be releasing a new display called the Apple AI Home Display, their first Apple Intelligence-powered smart home device that will work like an AI Wall Tablet, providing users with Siri, Apple Intelligence and additional at-home helpful tips to make their days much simpler. The tech is said to be released as early as March 2025, so there isn’t too long to wait.
What is the new Google Pixel 2025?
Finally, we cannot discuss anticipated tech released in 2025 without at least 1 mention of an upcoming smartphone device from a major smartphone company. This year it’s the Google Pixel 10, the 10th instalment to the Pixel series. It’s no secret that the AI within Pixel phones is unmatched, and we cannot wait to see what is done to make this phone extra special. If Google follows their usual Pixel phone release date, we could see the Pixel 10 releasing in October 2025, less than a year to go!
